Concrete Resources (Thank you for keeping me a company of images)

Inseparable from its legacy as ‘the land of lakes and volcanoes’ is Nicaragua’s legacy as a ‘country of poets,’ rendering a resistance that is encountered in all physical senses. Through visual and sonic collage, CONCRETE RESOURCES (Thank you for keeping me a company of images) examines the enmeshment of poetry and violence within Nicaragua’s national identity and the mirrors of this tension in the space of my memory of it as both a home and a destination. Including a text excerpt "La ciudad deshabitada," Ernesto Cardenal.
